Isabel is a 16-year-old sophomore at Horace Mann School in New York City. In addition to being a student, Isabel is a community organizer and activist for disability justice who focuses on community outreach, public speaking, and advocating for policy change for intersectional disability justice. Her passion for activism was sparked by her medical journey as a disabled Latina teen. Isabel is an accomplished violinist and competitive speaker in the national speech and debate circuit. Her experiences in activism and competitive speech confirmed her belief that everyone’s voice has the power to enact change. In her free time, Isabel enjoys watching cult documentaries, and playing with her puppy, Chacha.
